Autism Assessments
What is an Autism Assessment?
An autism assessment provides invaluable support to individuals with neurodivergent traits and their families, helping them gain a deeper understanding of how their unique minds operate. This process empowers individuals and caregivers to advocate for their needs and strengths while fostering meaningful engagement with the world.

How is the Assessment Conducted?
We utilise the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) along with additional standardised diagnostic tools to assess autism. Our approach acknowledges both the challenges and the unique strengths that come with autism, emphasising a neuro-affirming perspective.

Who is this Assessment For?
Our autism assessments are available for children, adolescents, and adults. Consider an autism assessment if you or your child experiences:

-
Challenges with social skills, such as playing alongside peers rather than engaging with them
-
Difficulty making or maintaining friendships (this may present differently in females, where they appear social but consistently struggle with friendships)
-
Difficulties with play skills and interactions, such as not playing with toys functionally
-
Challenges adapting to change and maintaining routines
-
Difficulties with communication, including only discussing personal interests or struggling with back-and-forth conversations
-
Fixated interests
-
Rigidity in behaviour
-
Sensitivities to food, touch, sound, or light
