It is our purpose to evolve the societal approach towards mental health and disability by transforming the prevailing attitudes that reduce people to a mere diagnosis or diagnosis’.

Through prioritising a person’s unique journey and valuing their individuality, we aim to empower them to bloom into their healthiest, most authentic selves. Our team of professional and highly skilled practitioners have extensive experience in Counselling, Psychology and Art Therapy.

Our inclusive, safe and nurturing space and skilled team of clincians work with adults, couples and families. We understand that being human is complex and at times confusing, our team are here to help empower you and support you throughout your journey.

We are also available for Telehealth (telephone or video) appointments. Wherever you are, you can receive therapy at Wildflowers.

Our Psychologists specialise in:

Anxiety

Experience a sense of unease of worry? Anxiety can manifest in various ways and emerge at different times in our lives.

Our team commonly treat generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder.

Feeling weighed down by a sense of emptiness or persistent sadness? Depression can cast a shadow on our lives, taking joy from things that we once got pleasure in. Psychological intervention has proven to manage depression.

Encountering traumatic events in life can evoke feelings of hopelessness, often accompanied by intense emotions, flashbacks, or withdrawal. Our objective is to help you reclaim control over your life.

Depression
Complex &
Developmental Trauma

While stress is a natural aspect of life, extended periods of stress can have a significant impact on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly when we lack the effective tools to manage it.

Stress

Sometimes we need a hand in managing the relationships that mean the most to us or assistance in walking away from the relationships that no longer serve us. Psychologists can guide you with the tools to assist in making decisions that are right for you.

Relationships
Grief and Loss

Life can throw us curve balls when we least expect and whilst grief and loss is a normal part of the human experience at times we need extra support to move through the negative loop patterns and intense feelings of despair.

We aim to provide education on your brain style and how you best learn and interact with the world. Implementing strategies to assist with executive functioning and emotional regulation.

Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorders

Our aim is practice from a neuro affirming lens, educating you about the inner workings of your mind, and celebrating your uniqueness. When necessary we provide support for your social skill development, emotional regulation and the management of sensory overload.

Individuals who identify as having a personality disorder can experience atypical thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Our team is here to assist you in navigating through life.

Personality Disorders

Our goal is to equip you with the essential skills and perspectives to lead a life as self-reliant as achievable.

Intellectual Disabilities

Knowing that the sex you were assigned at birth doesn’t sit right with you can be a confusing internal conflict to grapple with. Talking it through with a psychologist who holds an open and inclusive mind can allow for you to feel seen and heard.

Gender Identity

Babies, Toddlers, Children, Adolescents and Adults don’t come with a parenting manual and it's a challenging gig! Our aim is to empower you to understand your child’s need and set boundaries so both your needs and your child’s needs can be met.

If you're getting in touch for ongoing sessions these are the steps below:

Step 1: Reach out to us

The first step is to give us a call or reach out via our website or email. Our friendly staff can answer any questions you have about our services. We will also ask you a series of questions to ensure our service is the best fit and that one of our clinicians can assist you on your journey. If this is not the case we will endeavour to provide you with a list of alternative providers.

We are happy to help you with any questions you may have around Medicare & NDIS funding.

Step 2: We have a spot for you

All our clinicians typically work off a fortnightly schedule, which means that in most cases you will see your therapist at the same time and day on a fortnightly basis.

If we have a spot for you, at a time that works for you, we will slot you in. If not, you can join our waiting list. We like to be transparent with all of our potential clients about the length of our waitlist at the time of reaching out in case you would like to look for services elsewhere.

We know life can get busy so we will send out regular reminders of all upcoming appointments.

Step 3: Your first appointment

You might be feeling a little nervous on your first visit to our space, which is completely normal and understandable. We acknowledge that seeking help is a huge step no matter our age.

If you are a child/adolescent (under 17 years)  seeking services, the first appointment is always with the parent or guardian (unless there are extenuating services which can be discussed when booking). We believe a collaborative approach is important so we may continue to invite a parent or guardian to future appointments throughout your child/adolescents therapeutic journey.

Step 4: Regular sessions and finishing up

The number of sessions is case-by-case, everyone has different needs within a therapy space and these are assessed within your initial appointment.

Sometimes we are only part of your journey for a short period of time, sometimes we are there for a few chapters. Either way, we make sure we continue a transparent relationship throughout your journey with us and make sure you have gotten everything you need from your time within our space.
