About the event

Hungry Caterpillars is a fun, hands-on cooking program designed to help little learners build early independence and confidence in the kitchen. Guided by two occupational therapists, kids get to explore food through touching, smelling, mixing, and creating simple recipes step by step.

Think playful cooking fun like chocolate crackles or pinwheel snacks -  perfect teasers of what they might make on the day! Little chefs will practise foundational life skills such as following visual instructions, recognising ingredients, taking turns, using kid-safe kitchen tools, and trying new foods, all while having fun and connecting with peers.

Each child receives their own little apron and chef hat to wear and take home.
